CLAFOUTIS AUX FIGONS

A delicious recipe made from white figs.

The figs are small white confit figs. This specialty of the city of Salernes, can be consumed in many ways. Here, I present you the recipe for clafoutis with figs.

For 6 persons:

500 g candied figs, 150 g sugar, 6 organic eggs, 150 g flour, 1 vanilla pod, 30 cl milk, 30 cl cream, 1 pinch of salt.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C static heat. Drain the figs.

Butter a baking tin 25-26 cm in diameter and cover the bottom with the candied figs cut in half.

Whip eggs with sugar and vanilla beans (split and scrape the pod). Add the flour to the rain, whipping, the milk, the cream and a pinch of salt. You must obtain a homogeneous and fairly liquid consistency.

Pour the mixture into the dish on the figs and bake in the middle of the oven on a rack for 40 minutes.
